Cookies are such a big part of the holidays for me. I love making a festive array and creating a cookie platter for guests to enjoy… And of course you need to have something come Christmas Eve, for the big guy in red! I hear he’s partial to the homemade ones *shhh* 😉
Making real fudge (from scratch) is a skill. It requires patience, technique, and timing… I’ve tried to make fudge the traditional way before, and found it to be a humbling experience. Apparently I was not blessed with patience, technique, or timing.
Last weekend I watched the Toronto Santa Claus Parade (best one in years, by the way), and this week I’ve been cranking the Christmas tunes. So believe me, I am more than ready to kick things up a holiday notch around here! And I ask you, what better way to do that, than with candy canes?
Earlier this month, was my Mom’s birthday. And we all know what that means! CAKE!!!! 🙂 Except it was already a busy weekend and I didn’t have the time I needed to dedicate to a whole cake. So I compromised… CUPCAKES!!! 🙂
