Who knows where my aversion stemmed from, but for some reason, I have always associated figs with old lady food, and have successfully kept myself at a respectable distance from them. So when Dave asked me to make some kind of fig bar, I was less than enthusiastic… Figs??? Eww!!!
Pumpkin pie, yay or nay?… I’ve noticed that there are two distinct camps. Does anyone sit on the fence on this one?… I, myself, stand firmly in camp “no, thank you”. Which is funny, because there are plenty of pumpkin foods that I love, like muffins, these cookies, and it’s so amazing in pasta. And now you can add this ice cream to the list too.
Perhaps apologies are in order. You see, I’ve been sitting on this recipe for over a year and a half. Even though my tasters raved about them, saying that they HAD to blogged and shared (pretty good feed back, eh?), the cookies weren’t what I was looking for at the time, and I ended up going with this Cashew Butter Ice Cream instead. So I tucked the recipe away, fully intending to get back to it… And then I forgot… What can I say? I’m an Aquarian.
I was a little concerned that it might be too soon for a Halloween post, but then decided that it’s never too soon for chocolate cupcakes! Right? Besides, these cupcakes are so pretty (and ridiculously easy), I couldn’t wait to share them with you!
Obviously I love brownies, and all the chocolatey goodness that comes with them. But I’ve always felt that blondies inspired more creativity, probably because they’re such a great canvas. Continue reading
