Cookies are such a big part of the holidays for me. I love making a festive array and creating a cookie platter for guests to enjoy… And of course you need to have something come Christmas Eve, for the big guy in red! I hear he’s partial to the homemade ones *shhh* 😉
Have I mentioned my love for gingerbread? For me, it just wouldn’t be the holidays without it. In fact, I have 2 gingerbread cookies that I bake every Christmas. But gingerbread is more than just cookies…
Christmas is slowly sneaking up on us, and I could not be more excited! I’ve already pulled out my Christmas tunes, picked out my (snail mail) cards, and started making my hand crafted gifts! So it should be no surprise that I’ve also been in the kitchen playing around with festive flavours!
Christmas is my favourite time of the year. I love it all! The lights and decorations, the music, get together’s with family and friends, the tv specials and movies, Santa! And let’s not forget the food!… To kick off the season, I’ve gathered a few festive recipes from some of my favourite bloggers.
‘Twas the week after Christmas, and still in the fridge
were cranberries waiting to turn into a dish.
As usual I bought way too many cranberries for Christmas. Between baking, cranberry sauce, and jam, I use a lot of them at this time if year. So to be sure that there’s always some on hand I tent to over compensate. Oops!🙂
